Data Engineer (Senior BI)

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end BI data solutions on Microsoft Azure Fabric (Lakehouse / Warehouse, Data Pipelines, Dataflows).
• Develop and orchestrate data ingestion and transformation (ETL/ELT) using Azure Data Factory and Fabric Data Factory pipelines.
• Model, build, and optimize Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards for performance and reusability.
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into trustworthy, governed data products.
• Turn complex data into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations that drive executive and client decision-making.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, security, and governance across the BI platform.
• Advise, mentor, and collaborate with analysts and engineers to raise the bar on BI delivery.
• Use state of the art AI tooling to accelerate delivery, quality, and insight generation.

• Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills — able to communicate insights clearly to executive and client audiences. (Must-have)
• Strong, demonstrable experience building BI and data solutions on the Microsoft stack — Azure Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Factory.
• Expertise in data modeling (star/snowflake), DAX, and writing performant SQL.
• Solid experience designing and operating ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data warehousing / lakehouse patterns.
• Experience working directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders, gathering requirements and managing expectations.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and quality best practices.
• Demonstrable experience using Git and its workflows.
• Hands-on AI practitioner.

This is a stakeholder, client-facing role — exceptional communication and storytelling skills are a must.
